Grant R. Bowie
' Capitalising on Australia and New Zealand's Competitive Advantages?'

Grant is currently on sabbatical from a busy professional career in the gaming & hospitality industry. While he contemplates his future he enjoys the opportunity that this time is giving him to reflect on the emerging social, cultural and industry trends that are currently and are likely to affect the tourism industry within the Asia Pacific region.

From 2003 to 2007 Grant was the President and General Manager for Wynn Resorts (Macau) providing the leadership & operational direction for the development and operation of the property.   The Wynn property was the first luxury segmented casino hotel resort to open in the gaming enclave of Macau, setting a new benchmark in terms of service quality and yield in what has become the largest gaming destination in the world.

Prior to joining Wynn Macau in September 2003, Grant spent sixteen years in senior management positions in the gaming & hospitality industry with Hilton Hotels Corporation gaming properties Conrad Jupiter’s Gold Coast and Conrad Treasury Brisbane.

Prior to moving into operations, Grant spent seven years with Arthur Andersen, providing financial and information system consulting to the Gaming and Hospitality industry in Australia and the United States.
